The Princess Turns One! | McKinney, Texas, Children Photographer

My, how times flies! I cannot believe our very own little Princess Ivy (Izzy) just turned one. I still remember when she was so small and tiny, and now she is up and running around! She is still just as adorable as ever, thankfully, and making hearts melt everywhere she goes. We took her out to a park to have her first birthday cake and she seemed to enjoy it a lot! After sticking her little fingers into the cake, she looked up and said, “Mmm!” Below you can see a few photos from her birthday, enjoy!:)

Say Hello to “Miss Queen of America 2013!” | McKinney, Texas Portrait Photographer

We were fortunate enough to get to work with Mindy, Miss Queen of America 2013-14, for a fun and casual photo session. She was all you would expect from someone with such a title, kind, fun, and easy to work with. Here’s a short bio about Mindy! Check it out and then a few photos from the shoot too!

Mindy is the reigning Miss Queen of America (http://www.queen-of-america.com/), and is a sophomore at the University of North Texas, majoring in Hospitality Management. Committed to helping others, she has volunteered over 1,000 hours of community service with over 50 organizations in the DFW area. This summer she is interning with the Mary Kay Foundation, a nonprofit organization benefiting cancer research, and domestic violence shelters (http://marykayfoundation.org). Mindy enjoys watching Adventure Time, traveling, and going on adventures.
At the Queen of America National Pageant on July 13th, 2014, she will be crowning the new 2014-2015 Miss Queen of America.

Country Elegance |Plano, Texas, Senior Picture Photographer

Shelby wanted to go all out with her senior pictures session. She wanted to show off her outfits, and her first choice was a dazzling blue dress that sparkled with every flicker of light that hit it. She then got more comfortable and put on her boots and jean shorts and was ready to finish the day with some laughs. Some of her friends and family came along too, which only added to the experience! With all the laughter; it was hard to get some of the more serious shots (which was her preference), but she ended up being a great sport! She was a blast to work with and I am glad to have had the opportunity to meet all of them and for her to choose us to be her senior picture photographer!

Check out just a few shots from her session below! Enjoy!:)

The Lovely Wedding | McKinney, Texas, Wedding Photographer

A little over a year ago, I was fortunate enough to be asked to be the engagement photographer for this fantastic couple. (You can find that post here!) Shortly thereafter, they asked me to be their wedding photographer too! I was quickly reminded at how much of a joy it is to be around them. Roger and Sydney are one of those couples that just fall into laughter, and can’t help but smile when the other is in their presence. It is awesome, it is also contagious, in the best of the ways!

The wedding was held at the McKinney Cotton Mill, and turned out to be an awesome location. It was a blast before, during and after the wedding too. Check out just a few of the photos from their amazing wedding, truly one to be remembered!
